Who We Are
Building the Future of Yemen Together
Al-Nahda Youth Organization was established in 2012 in Taiz Governorate, amidst Yemen's major political and civil transformations. Its inception was not merely a response to transient humanitarian needs, but rather an emergence of a youth-led rights consciousness aimed at addressing one of the most complex issues in Yemeni society: discrimination based on race and class against the "Muhamasheen" (marginalized).
The organization adopts a radical human rights discourse that prioritizes racial justice, focusing specifically on the "double discrimination" faced by Black women. From its strategic headquarters in Taiz, the organization operates across four parallel tracks: education, rights, politics, and economy, to ensure real structural change. We believe that rights cannot be secured without political participation, and that economic empowerment is the essential pillar for protecting human dignity and integrating marginalized groups into the social fabric.
